Macs vs Pcs
Macs vs. pcs are usually a very hot topic. Undoubtedly Apple Macintosh Computers are less popular than regular Pac’s such as a popular Dell brand and with companies such as Tiger Direct you can actually get a PC or Mac computer for less than ½ the price you would get it for on the open market. But the way to compare both the Mac and PC is actually the uses for each. A quick examination of things such as hardware capabilities and software capabilities can quickly determine how useful the Macintosh versus the Pc is. But that’s not all in today’s day and age, price is a big determinant in choosing the type of computer you will get. For the purpose of this comparison we will look on the most popular laptops for both the Dell and the Macintosh. This is the Mac Book Pro 17 and the Dell Vostro 1500 which is the business version to the Dell Inspiron 1520.

Price: The Macbook Pro 17 is by far much more expensive than the Dell Vostro 1500, in fact on average retail the Mac sells for almost 4 times what the Dell Pc sells for. Though it is common knowledge that MACINTOSH computers are general more expensive because of robust hardware features such as a built in webcam and other features, however you can upgrade your pc to carry out these features as well.

As you can clearly see that the Macbook has more hardware capabilities. However if the same capabilities are placed in a pcs the pc wopuld be much more expensive.
Software: The OS X versus Windows Vista is another talking point on the Mac versus the Pc. The Pc can use Windows or Linux. The Mac OS X provides a wide range of services and is fully compatible with Windows and can ever run simultaneously with Microsoft Office. However the OS X versus the Vista is an entirely different debate. For the most part though the Vista has much more capabilities, it is clunky with a lot of kinks, barely workable without numerous patches and has limited support. The OS X on the other hand tried and tested and will support any program and in our opinion is the best. We have decided that dollar for dollar you get the best value for your money when you buy a Mac Laptop.
